Ornamental O
Who knew it'd be so much fun to put AWAY the Christmas ornaments this year? That only lasted for about 20 minutes. Then it turned to stressful jittery movements, which cascaded into a zombielike trance. Bless his heart, my hubba-hubba showed up as he often does "JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME" (he can't help it: his name IS Nick!) with my fave doughnut: a buttermilk bar (bar form of old-fashioned-also my fave) which gave me much-needed instant joy and energy burst all in one. Does anyone enjoy LaMar's Donuts anywhere? They are Da Kine. Not a glazed fan so Krispy Kreme has no hold whatsoever on me, just brainwashing advertising in sheer numbers. Truth can hurt. I miss LaMar's, but anyone's old-fashioned turns out to be delicious, quite a nice surprise in the world of lame food itemsl By the way, I never was a scout, only a brownie...
Our 800 s.f. modular home will commence its construction as soon as we get the go-ahead from the county. Nick's doing a bang-up job with all the permits, drawing up plans (Ren-Man in true form, per usual), setting up inspections, mostly single-handedly shoveling out the areas to pour concrete for our retaining wall which is a feat in itself. Physically demanding.
I will go to the beach today if it's nice at all.
PAULO NEWS: He managed to CRAWL officially for the first time yesterday, 1/15!
